- A rather generous definition of 'deep' I think. Output to a TV? Again,
- what does this have to do with multimedia? >>>
-
- ????????? Eh? What has multitasking have to do with multimedia? ket me
- see. The ability to play back an animation, while loading something else
- into RAM in the background, playing audio off an HD, etc. Quite
- necessary!!
-
- Built in audio is a nice thing to have, dude. Cheaper and more handy, too.
- People build kiosks around CD32's ya know. $200 for a complete CDROM based
- presentation system.
-
- Back in 1987, 4,096 colors WAS a deep color palette for 90% of the
- computing populace, I do believe.
-
- Output to TV is a WONDERFUL THING for multimedia. TV's are CHEAP, EASY TO
- FIND, and EASY to set up. Why are there so many VGA to NTSC converters on
- the market if output to TV wasn't eminently useful?
